Invitation

Distinguished scientists and healthcare professionals,

Concomitant with contemporary demographic shift toward an aging population, the clinical paradigms of biological age, preventive medicine, and lifestyle interventions have assumed paramount significance within geriatric practice, thereby rendering the discourse on longevity and geriatric syndromes an absolute imperative. This paradigm embodies a holistic medical philosophy that transcends the mere extension of chronological lifespan, aiming to optimize health span by ensuring that the senescent process is characterized by functional vitality, robust resilience, and the absence of morbidities. The methodology in question operationalizes tripartite framework that synergistically integrates high-throughput genetic profiling, precision nutritional regimens, and targeted cellular therapeutics.

Consequently, the overarching nexus of the 5th International and 14th National Geriatrics Days has been designated as Longevity and Geriatric Syndromes, reflecting a concerted effort to address these interconnected paradigms. Over a comprehensive 2-day itinerary, our symposium will meticulously dissect primordial prevention strategies aimed at mitigating subclinical pathologies alongside lifestyle modifications-specifically precision nutrition, regular physical regimens, restful sleep, and systematic stress modulation- designed to decelerate the biological trajectory of senescence.

The 5th International and 14th National Geriatrics Days are scheduled to be held from May 27 to 29, 2026, at the prestigious Ege Palace Hotel in Izmir, serving as a prominent forum for scholarly exchange in geriatric medicine. We would be profoundly honored to welcome exceptionally distinguished scholars who have achieved international and domestic acclaim through their seminal scientific contributions to our upcoming symposium.

Oral abstracts deemed acceptable by our scientific advisory board will accommodate the diverse preferences of our symposium attendees through a hybrid delivery model, offering both in-person and virtual presentation modalities. Following the culmination of the symposium, accepted oral presentations will be formally integrated and published within the comprehensive conference proceedings.

We would like to express our utmost delight in extending an invitation to Izmir to all medical practitioners-most notably specialists in geriatrics, neurology, internal medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation- alongside gerontologists, physical therapists, nurses, psychologists, dietitians, social workers, and all dedicated healthcare professionals committed to senior care.
